Life Poetry ::: Wounded & Whole

the wood welcomes

the wood welcomes

life to life

Enter—

The wood welcomes,
the wood heals…
deep wounds salved
by silence.

The forest answers
questions barely formed;
in stillness we meet
it reaches deep,
calms,
with a breeze—
healing breath.

My swirls and whorls caress
the tree’s swirls and whorls,
our fingerprints twine,
one to one—
blood beneath the skin,
sap beneath bark,
pulsing one rhythm:

life to life — alone, yet shared.
