footprints in the snow
a winter’s whisper of new beginnings
silent and soft snow covers the land,
softening the jagged bones of rock and stem.
A coating blanket of innocence freshly fallen,
And I leave soft footprints where I’ve been,
To find my way back out again.
the early year beckons—new beginnings, new hope,
a start, a time to promise and act.
